During this time of having to stay at home we are no longer meeting as a church in our building. That being said, we are now trialing ways to stay connected as a fellowship using technology.
So, at 10.30am each Sunday we will try to meet online – details of which can be found in our Facebook Page We hope to have a live broadcast going via our YouTube Channel, so check it out and stay connected.
Nick exhorted us on a recent Sunday to ensure that we take initiative to contact and support each other during these testing times. He told us not to be one of those who wait to be contacted, but instead to find ways to reach out and encourage another, and so be encouraged ourselves. Let’s take this to heart in the coming weeks.
Check out the links below and don’t be afraid to reach out to the office during this time – we are doing our utmost to stay approachable and contactable.
Come and join us for a week, enjoying our Heavenly Fathers love. It is a relaxed week, lots of times of worship, teaching ministry, day’s out, friendship and sitting around a camp fire. This is the ideal place and opportunity to take time aside.
Blaithwaite Christian Centre is situated in Cumbria, near the southern shores of the Solway Firth. Set in 200 acres of its own grounds and reached by a long private drive, it is secure for all members of the family and provides an ideal environment for God’s people to be in His presence and enjoy fellowship with one another. If you would like to take a look at the venue the web address is www.blaithwaite.co.uk
What to expect…..
Enjoy worshipping together, friendships new and old, as well as teaching and ministry. There will be gatherings for the children and young people to experience the Father’s love in their own times together.
You can choose to camp or caravan on the field. For those who like the comfort of being inside, there are rooms in the house and the stables.
Important Information for bookings of the House & Stables
We are implementing a room allocation policy to ensure the financial viability of the church holiday. Our intention is for this to be as fair as possible, maximising the number of people in the accommodation and satisfying as many needs and wants as we can.
To this end there will be no firm allocation of rooms until June to allow the allocation then to be as efficient as possible. If you want to guarantee that you can have single occupancy of a double or twin bedded room before then, there will be a significant supplement to pay as per the attached IHP Booking Form and Pricelist. After the end of June, if there are any spare rooms at that point, single occupancy will be considered at standard prices.
The House & Stables
The house and Stables have mostly ensuite rooms for two or more people. This is reflected in the cost. There is one single room in the main house and one double room in the stables without ensuite.
Several of the rooms have double beds and additional single beds or bunk beds in them. Preference will be given when allocating rooms to families or other people sharing who can maximise the occupancy of these rooms. This includes the two rooms in the stables that have bunk beds.
The office will keep a note of people’s wishes and do a provisional room allocation as bookings come in but we are reserving the right to change and optimise this allocation when reviewing the position in June or at any time if the house or stables are
becoming oversubscribed. We trust we have your understanding and flexibility in this matter which we believe will be for everybody’s benefit.
If 3 adults arrange to share in the house we will offer a special discount of £25 per person.
The Dovecote Room – Is a twin Room with TV and central heating. The toilets and washing facilities with this room are shared with the campers. Please also be aware that access to the Dovecote room is via steep steps.
Field – The field for camping, caravanning & motor-homing have shower and toilet pods on site with washing facilities.
There are a number of electrical hook-ups so please let us know if you would like this facility; an additional charge will be made.
